Ivy really enjoyed Halloween. I didn't think she would ever take her costume off! She wanted to wear it all the time! She had a party at school with lots of candy, a Halloween party with friends, and 2 trick or treats. She can get candy like a pro!!!

Every week Ivy's class learns a new letter, this is from "t" week!! I love the things her class does and I think she really enjoys it too! She's learning so much! So far I think her favorite letter is "P", the teacher gave them Pizza and Pringles that week, it seems to have made an impression!

Even though this first picture is blurry I had to post it! I can't believe Ivy is already in 2k. I am so proud of her and think she is the SMARTEST 2 year old ever..(of course what Mommy doesn't think that about her baby).

Here are some of the things she can do!
1. Count to 11, most of the time skipping 9??
2. Sing her ABC's all the way through, with a little mumbling.
3. Sing Twinkle Twinkle little Star, all the way through.
4. She can get her Daddy to do ANYTHING she wants with her cuteness.
5. Sing almost any song we play on the radio, she's a fast learner.
6. She loves to dance!
7. She's pretty sneaky and can get away with almost anything she tries!
8. She is a determined little girl and keeps trying everything until
gets it and gets it right!
9. She loves to shop and asks daily to go to Target or "Mallmart".
10. She can get her mommy's stubborn attitude and is the Queen of Dirty looks but can melt your heart with her sweet smile and silly side!

She's a great eater and really enjoys her friends!!!

There is so much more I could put on here, but it would take up several posts! I will say this though she makes me more and more proud every single day and amazes me with everything she does!

Great Aunt Jon got the kiddos these GIGANTIC lollipops and boy did they love them... of course the pictures were taken with them still in the plastic, otherwise there's no telling where they would have been stuck!!!

We had a beach trip complete with a ride on a Pirate Ship... look at mommy's pretty little pirate!

And here we are packing the car on our last night of an amazing week!!! Ivy loved riding on the luggage cart and it made her easy to keep track of. Now back to "normal" life...

Specht Family Vacation 2011

We had a wonderful week of beach vacation with Ivy's 85 year old great-grandmother, and the rest of the whole gang, here are several pictures and there are more that I haven't gotten yet!!!
1st day at the beach trying out the sand...

On Sunday we went to the Miller's church to watch Ivy's amazing cousin sing How Great Thou Art... she is so very talented and I will post her video!

And what trip would be complete without the matching swimsuits! Check out how happy our little surfer looks... ha ha ha!

We took Ivy swimming this past weekend and she LOOOOOVED it!!! Pappy bought her some puddle-jumpers (floaties) and that was all she wrote! She bobbled all over the pool and had the best time. She even jumped right off the diving board into the deep end and went all the way under water. She giggled, sputtered, and to my surprise climbed out to do it again. This is going to be a fantastic summer with my little fishy!!!

I'll take this dirty look I'm getting for snapping too many pictures of what I think is the most beautiful, amazing thing in the world. So many things have happened around us recently that have really made me realize how blessed I truly am!

Here's what we do wrong...AND WE LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!!

We pile up at night and watch Elmo in Mommy and Daddy's bed together and most of the time are still there in the morning... we don't mind!

We eat poptarts and chocolate chip cookies for dinner sometimes... that's ok!

We mix all the play-dough together to make beautiful colors... who cares!

We wear our jammies all day long if we feel like it!

We sing silly songs and do the motions as loud as we can... thank goodness we don't have neighbors!

We scream at the top of our lungs til our faces turn red and then laugh til we can't breath... because we can!

We throw chicken nuggets out the car windows for the birds that are flying by... although sometimes Mommy doesn't see them (Ivy says they're there)!

We call birds "Caw Caws" and frogs "Bibbits"... although some people do not approve!

We don't sit in highchairs or booster seats in restaurants but prefer to all squish together in a booth for our family meals... oh well!

We love to run and play in the dirt... that's what baths are for!

We pretend to eat bugs... not very girlie!

We don't have alot of money or every fancy toy there is, but LOVE our favorite baby doll and the horsey Gran gave us... it's the best!

We love to put smelly lotion on our cheeks... and everyone else's, tons of it!!

We climb to the tippity top of the McDonald's play land and wave to Mommy... most of the time Daddy's in there with her!

Slides are called Wees and right now we love them more that anything in the world... except maybe Daddy!

We wave to the school bus every morning and talk about riding one when we get bigger... that's something Mommy can wait for!

We have fun and that's all that matters. We use our manners and are very sweet. We don't put up too many fights and are learning to take NO for an answer - which is quite challenging sometimes. We are just really lucky to have each other and although we face trying times with the terrible twos we are so thankful for every single moment in our lives! Our house is not huge, but it is our home and Ivy loves every waking moment we spend there - or anywhere for that matter! I wouldn't change anything about my girl (well maybe the paci habit and potty training, but that's in the works) she is the smartest, most beautiful, happiest kid there is and ya know what's best...

Ivy's "Runner" school year has come to an end and in August she'll be in 2K! Can you believe she is that big already! They had a nice little spring program at her school and then the 4K kids graduated. It's hard to believe the kids that were 2 when she started are now heading to kindergarten!!! Where does the time go?

This is her class showing all the stuff they've learned this school year. They counted to 10, sang their ABC's, named all their shapes and colors... she made me so proud!!!

Mommy's Birthday!

Anthony had to work on my birthday so Ivy and I spent the day together until he could join us! She loves the "Shops of Grand River" and it was a beautiful day. The Birmingham Zoo

We enjoyed our Saturday with family and friends at the zoo! It was fun for me, because I had never been and I think Ivy really enjoyed it. Some of the highlights were the "big caw caws" and riding the "choo choo" - although she acted like she was mad the whole time we were on the train! She was such a sport running all over the place even when it got really close to nap time. Of course I got no pictures of her poutty face on the train, she sat real still and didn't even really look out the sides!!!

OH MY ...Another Highlight!!! My baby rode a CAMEL!!!!! She was so brave and jumped right on, when it was time to get off she said "thank you Camel, bye-bye!" Little Miss Manners, even polite to a big ole stinky Camel!

We really had fun it wasn't blistering hot and was alot of walking but we enjoyed it! It was the perfect way to start my THIRD Mother's Day weekend!!!

Ivy's school had an Easter egg hunt, afterschool we had to put the eggs out in the yard so she could pick them up and put them in her "buck", she had such a good time!! The bottom set of pictures is her curly hair from being out in the humidity! I LOVE it! The very bottom right hand corner picture is her trying not to smile! Ha ha, little stinker!

The sweet purple dress used to be Marleigh's who is now 7 years old! Time just flies doesn't it?

Ivy really enjoyed Hailey's Birthday Tea Party...

Ivy's BFF, Hailey had the cutest birthday party!!! It was a birthday tea and the girls had hats, gloves, boas, and jewelry! They were too busy at the party having a good time to wear their stuff, they danced their hearts out and ran around like crazy! I've never seen two little girls so much alike. I just love that they have become such good friends! Here are a few pictures of the sweet little 2 year olds!!!

This was over a week ago and Ivy is still walking around the house singing "Happy Hailey", she wakes up in the morning asking to go to Hailey's party.

I can't believe how grown up my baby looks!

It was school picture time again and once again no smile from my girl! It cracks me up that you can look real close in her eyes and see her trying really hard not to smile! I love them though because I think she is just beautiful no matter what! The bottom one is my favorite, she looks like a little doll.

It has really been cold so far this spring! Ivy loves her new bike though and insists on riding it everyday afterschool, so we bundle up and go! She has learned to hold on with her feet so she can keep her hands warm in her pockets while we push her. And now we have to stop and pick flowers (or weeds) along the way.

So we have only been parents for a little over 2 years and that's how long it took us to figure out the secret of grocery shopping! Ivy hates to sit in the cart... until she discovered the BANANAS!!! Yep we will be carrying an extra banana from now on, at least that way we won't be shop lifting! Any other snacks or bribes don't work but this girl is crazy for a banana!

Ivy went to her first dentist appointment yesterday and she did awesome! She layed very still and let them clean and count her teeth! Much better than her Mommy ever does!!!
